When asked what made her choose this as the first single, she said,”Almost all of the songs in the album would qualify as the first single however “She’s Out of My Life” was the one that got the warmest reception.”

Marian's 'maldita' moments
Talks about Marian Rivera as a celebrity with an "attitude" is growing louder by the day.The latest dish on Marian being a primadonna is her alleged disappointment over taping at a muddy location in Bulacan for "Darna."
So, what did the staff do to appease the complaining actress? He reportedly carried Marian to a mud-less place.
One time, too, still while taping for "Darna," Marian reportedly came in, wailing, "dumating na ang reyna na walang bulaklak sa tenga" which stunned those who heard the one-liner.
Some people speculated that Marian may have been referring to Carla Abellana who always has a flower in her ear for her role in the TV soap, "Rosalinda."
Story goes that in an event, Marian refused to share her dressing room with Carla because she wants the room all to herself.
Marian, who is part of the "Show Me The Manny" cast starring boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, is all praises for the boxing champ.
"Lahat kami dito masaya. Na-discover kong hindi pala siya (Manny) mahirap abutin. Super down to earth siya," Marian said.

'Twilight' author sued for copyright infringement
LOS ANGELES - A woman who wrote an obscure vampire book as a teenager has sued "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer, accusing her of stealing ideas from the work for the fourth book in her vampire series, "Breaking Dawn."
Meyer's publisher responded that the lawsuit, filed on Wednesday in federal court in California, is a meritless claim meant to further the career of the aspiring screenwriter making the complaint.
Jordan Scott's lawsuit accuses Meyer of copyright infringement and argues that, as Scott wrote her vampire novel "The Nocturne," she posted passages online, and that Meyer stole ideas from Scott's work for her own book.
"The Nocturne" and "Breaking Dawn," which was published in 2008, show similarities in language, plot lines, characters and other points, Scott's lawsuit stated. For instance, the lawsuit said both books contain a wedding passage and an after-wedding scene of sex on the beach.
Hachette Book Group, Meyer's publisher, said the "alleged similarities" are "wholly lacking in substance," and Meyer based "Breaking Dawn" on an earlier, unpublished sequel to "Twilight" that she wrote.
Hachette called the suit a "publicity stunt to further Ms. Scott's career," and said it expected the court would dismiss it.
Meyer's "Breaking Dawn" is the fourth book in the "Twilight" series, which has sold more than 70 million copies worldwide and become the basis of a Hollywood movie series.
The first film, "Twilight," earned more than $380 million at worldwide box offices and the second, "New Moon," hits theaters in November. The books and movies are about a girl named Bella Swan, who has a star-crossed love affair with dangerous but handsome vampire Edward Cullen.
Scott's book "The Nocturne," which she started writing at age 15 in 2003, had an initial printing of 5,000 books and is about to go into a second printing, according to her lawsuit.

Is Willie Revillame A Good Guy?
After earning the ire of most Filipino for requesting not to air the cortege of former President Cory Aquino simultaneously with 'Wowowee', Willie Revillame is facing another charge filed at the MTRCB by Arlene de Guzman-Ronquillo, wife of Willie’s friend, Raymond Ronquillo.Because of this, Willie took all his personal belongings in his dressing room. Willie refused to talk to ABS-CBN executives, which they reportedly only take in stride noting that 'Wowowee', the noontime show hosted by Willie Revillame even garnered high ratings without him.
Arlene de Guzman-Ronquillo filed the complaint at the MTRCB stating that Willie's jokes on air caused her marriage to fail and also caused embarrassment to her children who refused to go to school after being teased about the jokes Willie Revillame made.
Willie has been teasing his friend Raymond Ronquillo on air since October 2008. Making nonchalant remarks about Raymond being single and available.
Since Arlene's children constantly watched 'Wowowee', Arlene texted her husband Raymond to ask Willie to stop making such remarks on air. But this came to no avail because on July 18, 2009 Willie made these comments on air: “Nandito yung mga kaibigan ko na iniwan ang kani-kanilang asawa dahil sa babae!” and the video intentionally focused on Mr. Raymond Ronquillo and two other male friends.
Then last July 28, 2009, Willie said on air: “Yan si Raymond,” simultaneously focusing the camera on his face and “Yan si Aiko”, referring to one of the ASF Dancers and simultaneously focusing the camera on her face, “Yan ang ex-girlfriend ni Raymond!” “Di bale, kumita ka naman”, referring to Aiko. And then he laughed.
Now I'm beginning to wonder if Willie is really a good guy.

'And I Love You So' Pulled Out From SM Cinemas
There is no ban to the Bea Alonzo/Sam Milby/Derek Ramsey movie, 'And I love You So' in SM Cinemas.Showbiz Intriga! Get It From Boy! wrote that "Star Cinema is demanding that SM Cinemas rectify errors it made six years ago, when Star Cinema discovered that SM is not correctly reporting income at the box-office of their movies. Star Cinema is said to have been demanding payment since to no avail. Hence, from hereon, and unfortunately for And I Love You So, Star Cinema has decided to boycott SM Cinemas, which comprises 42% of Philippine Box-Office Sales. And I Love You So which was originally scheduled to hold its Premiere Night in SM Megamall, instead held its Premiere at Cinema 5 of the Trinoma Mall on August 11, 2009. It will be shown in 100 theaters nationwide outside of the SM Malls theater circuit."
There is no truth about the misunderstanding of SM and Star Cinema because SM is being endorsed by Marian Rivera!

Willie Revillame vs. MTRCB and KBP
If you noticed the absence of Willie Revillame on his noontime show 'Wowowee' recently. He has been on the center of controversies after he asked on air to take out the video inset of former President Cory Aquino's cortege.MTRCB and KBP is reported to meet soon to discuss the possible actions against Willie Revillame regarding this incident.
Click here to watch the Wowowee episode on YouTube.
Here's a news article from Yahoo! News/GMANews.tv:
ABS-CBN noontime host Willie Revillame’s “objectionable" way of removing the live video of former President Corazon Aquino’s cortege from his popular midday program “Wowowee" last Monday violated the broadcast code of ethics, an official of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) said.
NO TO WILLIEThe online petition calling for TV host Willie Revillame's ouster from his "Wowowee" show in ABS-CBN has already attracted thousands of angry respondents.
As of 5 p.m. Saturday, Roel Saguisag's petition has gathered 16,642 signatures, with at least 40 new respondents every ten minutes. PetitionOnline noted that "Petition to Oust Willie Revillame" is the second most active petition on the site.
This is also the second time since Kevin Nadal's online petition for an apology from the "Desperate Housewives" producers in 2007 that a Filipino-made petition has generated such buzz on the site.
"Was it really hard for him to be humble and human?" Saguisag wrote in his petition, "Pres. Aquino taught us humility and Revillame is showing us the exact opposite."

- Joseph Holandes Ubalde
In an interview with GMA News’ Sherrie Ann Torres on Friday, MTRCB chair Consoliza Laguardia said Revillame also violated Sec. 3 of Presidential Decree 1986.
"Yung personal kong tingin objectionable ‘yung ginawa ni Willie kasi pwede niyang ginawa ung offcam. He violated the broadcast code of ethics of KBP (Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas) and then sa part ng MTRCB, Sec. 3 of PD 1986 ‘yung being objectionable and contrary to good customs and tradition," Laguardia said.
(In my personal view, Willie’s action was objectionable because he could have said those things off camera. He violated the broadcast code of ethics of the KBP and for the part of MTCRB, he violated Sec. 3 of PD 1986, by being objectionable and contrary to good customs and tradition.)
On camera last Monday, during Wowowee's regular airing, Revillame testily told his network's management to remove the video of Mrs. Aquino’s cortege aired simultaneously in an inset frame on TV screens.
“Hindi siguro magandang tingnan na pinapakita niyo yan (Mrs. Aquino’s footage). Nagsasaya kami tapos pinapakita niyo yung, I don't think dapat ipakita yan."
“Eh mahihirapan akong magsalita rito.
Okay?"
The live video of the transfer of Cory's body to the Manila Cathedral was removed from his show moments later.
A day after his controversial remarks, Revillame apologized through Wowowee and clarified that he had no ill intentions when he sought the removal of the insets.
“Sa sitwasyon na ito, kung may nasaktan ako, I’m sorry. Sa pamilya Aquino, alam ng buong pamilya Aquino, wala akong masamang intensyon doon (I’m sorry if what I did hurt anyone. The entire Aquino family knows I have no bad intentions)," Revillame said.
He explained that as the host of a variety show (where guests play games and win money), it would have been hard for him to make his audience happy if Mrs. Aquino’s casket was simultaneously shown.
Teach him a lesson
Two media organizations, the National Press Club and the Alyansa ng Filipinong Mamahayag (Afima), also expressed dismay over Revillame’s remark.
"Siguro dapat mabigyan siya ng leksyon ngayon. Iba na to eh. Ibang case na to eh (He should be taught a lesson this time. This is a different case)," said AFIMA president Jerry Yap.
"Kung hindi niya titigilan yung ganong attitude niya I don’t think dapat pa siyang panoorin ng tao (If he will not change his attitude I don’t think people should continue watching him)," said NPC president Benny Antiporda.
The report said the MTRCB and the KBP will meet to discuss the possible actions against Revillame.

Carlo Aquino does a first in his career by playing a very unique role on TV5’s top-rating show Midnight DJ. The episode will be aired this Saturday at 8:00 PM, with co-guest stars Yayo Aguila and Michelle Gallaga.A quiet university is disturbed when a mysterious night creature prowls on unsuspecting school staff and students. The whole school is horrified, and the university dean, Ms. Gatdula (played by Yayo Aguila) wants answers that only Ramon Ibarra (played by Carlo Aquino) and his mother (played by Michelle Gallaga) know. Of course, only the whole Midnight DJ team led by Samboy, played by Oyo Sotto, can puzzle out the mysteries of the campus "manananggal."
Witness how Carlo Aquino brings to life this creature and find out how Samboy, Andrea (Desiree del Valle), Trixie (Jenny Miller), Bodjie (Joaqui Tupas), and QT (Meg Imperial) will solve the supernatural disturbances within the university in Midnight DJ this Saturday, 8 p.m., right after the number one Talent Show on free-TV, Talentadong Pinoy, only on TV5.
Glaiza de Castro will play Eunice in Stairway to Heaven
The search is finally over, Glaiza de Castro will be Dingdong Dantes's leading lady in 'Stairway to Heaven' as Eunice. The most coveted role was first rumored to be given to Rhian Ramos. It is a pleasant surprise that Glaiza will be in a primetime soap with no less than Dingdong Dantes as her leading man. There's no doubt that the Angel Locsin-look-a-like is a good actress, we just hope that there will be good chemistry between the two leading stars of 'Stairway to Heaven'.
'Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin' recently just started so it was far from Glaiza's mind that she would have another soap this early. She's very grateful to the people who believe in her and she was quoted by PEP.ph saying "Huwag kayong mag-alala, gagawin ko ang lahat ng makakaya ko para hindi kayo ma-disappoint at para ma-meet ang expectation n'yo. Hindi ko sisirain ang character ni Eunice."

Cory on the Philippine 500-Peso Bill
The Philippine 500-Peso bill started circulating last August 1987. Its yellow hue is associated with the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution with Ninoy Aquino, former President Cory Aquino's husband. Now, the Central Bank is planning a 'new generation' look for the said bill and the proposal to add the portrait of former President Cory Aquino beside her husband is being considered. One of Cory's siblings was quoted saying that they appreciate such nice thoughts but they think the former President never imagined herself being in any Philippine peso bill.
A spokesman for President Gloria Arroyo said any proposal to declare the late president a national hero like her husband will be studied.
Willie Revillame Criticized
A lot of criticism is being directed to Willie Revillame, host of Wowowee, for requesting the removal of former President Cory Aquino's funeral inset during his program. He deemed it inappropriate to show the funeral while they are having fun in Wowowee. If you missed its live telecast, watch the video below posted in YouTube. The Next day he apologized to the Aquino family and the management for hurting their feelings but he explained that what he did was done because of his love and respect for the former President.
A lot are saying that he should've done it behind the scene and not on air. I think he just sometimes do the right things in bad taste. But his intentions were sincere.
