Maui started early in showbiz with teeny bopper roles in TGIS and AnnaKarenina, she made the switch to sexy/mature roles when she was casted in "Tatarin" (2001) but her movie debut as a sexy goddes of the big screen is via the movie "Gamitan" (2002). "Hibla" and "Sex Drive" followed. Then she received a nomination from FAMAS Awards (2003) for Best Supporting Actress in her role in "Ang Huling Birhen sa Lupa".
Masamang Ugat and Bugbog Sarado were her last two films before she took a hiatus from filming since 2003.
